WhatsApp for Windows Phone 8 to get video saving and video attaching features

WhatsApp Messenger, for those that did not know, is a popular messaging app for Windows Phone 8, along with other platforms. In a forthcoming update, WhatsApp gets the ability so save videos, attach videos, and more.

“WhatsApp Messenger is a smartphone messenger available for Windows Phone, Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, and Nokia phones. WhatsApp uses your 3G or WiFi (when available) to message with friends and family. Switch from SMS to WhatsApp to send and receive messages, pictures, audio notes, and video messages. First year FREE! ($0.99/year after),” the app description reads.

Currenty in Beta testing, WhatsApp will feature the ability to save videos, as well as attach them to messages. No word on exactly what the video size or length restrictions are, but you will be able to tap the Albums icon to browse your library of media – which now includes videos. You can easily attach videos to messages.

When you tap on a contact’s profile picture, you will now be taken to the user’s profile where you can see all the videos that have been sent to you via that user. These videos are auto-saved to your phone’s media library under Saved Pictures.

In this upcoming update, you will also be able to attach up to ten images in one message.

No word yet on when this update will roll out for everyone to download. Stay tuned, we will give you the download link once the update becomes available.
