WhatsApp receives a minor update with bug fixes and improvements

WhatsApp is one of the most popular instant messaging app available on all major mobile platforms. The company recently pushed a big update for its Windows Phone app, introducing plethora of new features and improvements. These include improved performance, ability to crop images, support for high-resolution screens and much more.

Recently, WhatsApp for Windows Phone received another update, bumping it to version 2.11.596, but it’s a minor one. There’s no detailed change log available, other than “various enhancements and bug fixes,” which are always good since it can improve the app performance. The app was updated for other platforms as well with a similar change log, but reports suggest users will be able to find out if the recipient has read the message. If the double tick icon turns blue, it means the recipient has read the message.

Head over to the Windows Phone Store to grab the update, and let us know if you notice anything different.
