This week's red stripe deals brings ‘assassin’s creed pirates,’ ‘myth defenses: light forces’ and more

Every week, plenty of apps and games go on sale in the Windows and Windows Phone Store as a part of the Red Stripe Deals. Microsoft tend to highlight some of the popular titles which are discounted each week for its users. This week’s Red Stripe Deals are in, and they bring a number of exciting games and apps at discounted prices for Windows and Windows Phone users. 

First up is one of Ubisoft’s popular title, Asassin’s Creed: Pirates. The game usually costs $4.99, but for this week, users interested in the app can pick up the Windows or Windows Phone version of the game for just $1.99 — this is more than 50 percent discount. The game is quite simple: you’re a pirate so you have to build your own crew and take on other pirates in a challenging treasure hunt.

If you happen to be a fan of tower defense games, you be glad to know that Myth Defense: Light Forces is also available at a discounted price of $1.49 in both the Windows and Windows Phone Store. There are over a dozen towers to choose from, and a number of challenging maps to play on. Furthermore, players can use alchemy to enhance their towers, and make sure they are more powerful. There’s a free version of the game available in the respective app stores, but to unlock the full potential of the game, you have to purchase it.

Next up is Jaggy Race!, a 2.5D gravity racing game which tests your reflexes as you play on. There are 42 challenging tracks to race on with several six different karts to play with. The game usually costs $2.99, but users interested in the app can grab it for $0.99 in the Windows and Windows Phone Store.

Other games included in this week’s Red Stripe Deals are:

  • CleverToDo: a popular productivity app which usually costs $8.99, it’s $4.49 in the Windows Store and 99 cents (normally $1.99) in the Windows Phone Store.
  • “Mega Run,” a cute monster adventure game (99 cents, normally $1.99, in the Windows Store).
  • BackTrainer, a health and fitness app with exercise programs to help strengthen your back and neck ($1.99, normally $4.99, in the Windows Store).
  • “Michael’s Math Zoo,” a fun math game for kids (99 cents, normally $1.99, in the Windows Phone Store).
