WeChat for Windows Phone

\

WeChat is a popular cross-platform instant messaging service with over 300 million users and gives users the ability to send free voice and text messages, as well as video calls to their friends and family using their smartphone. Recently, the application was updated to v5.1, and introduces some decent set of new features.

\

WeChat v5.1 lets users forward more than one message at a time, as well as increase the capacity of the groups created within the application to 100. Additionally, users can also preview the stickers available in the shop before downloading them on their handsets. Here’s a complete list of new features and enhancements introduced in WeChat 5.1:

\

    \

  • Increase your group’s capacity to 100 members
  • \

  • Forward more than one messages at a time
  • \

  • Press and hold stickers to preview them before downloading
  • \

  • Show messages not sent in the chat list
  • \

\

In addition to WeChat, the popular third-party Instagram client 6tag also received an update bumping it to version 3.2. To refresh your memory, 6tag lets users make the most out of Instagram, take photos, apply filters, utilize Instagram Direct and much more. For the recent update, there’s no change log available, so it must have come along with some bug fixes and enhancements to improve the overall experience of the application.

\

Head over to the Windows Phone Store and download both applications for your handset.
