We Happy Few and LEGO Movie are now available in Xbox Game Pass – onmsft.com

After being hinted at yesterday, We Happy Few and The LEGO Movie Videogame are now both available to play for free as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

The LEGO Movie Videogame will look familiar to anyone who’s played any of the other LEGO video games on Xbox One. This one is based on the LEGO Movie storyline and features a diverse selection of over 90 characters to unlock.

Join Emmet and an unlikely group of resistance fighters in their heroic quest to thwart Lord Business’ evil plans—a mission that Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously unprepared for.  It’s a wild ride with a surprising mix of over 90 playable characters including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Green Ninja, Gandalf, Shakespeare, Cleopatra and more.

We Happy Few is a more mature video game with a strong emphasis on story. The game has been rather well-received by critics and gamers though may be too intense for young players.

We Happy Few is the tale of a plucky bunch of moderately terrible people trying to escape from a lifetime of cheerful denial in the city of Wellington Wells. In this alternative 1960s England, conformity is key. You’ll have to fight or blend in with the drug-addled inhabitants, most of whom don’t take kindly to people who won’t abide by their not-so-normal rules.

Discover the retrofuturistic city’s dark history as you play through the intertwined narratives of three quietly rebellious citizens of Wellington Wells. Each has their own strengths and weaknesses as they face their pasts, prepare for the future, and engage in activities that aren’t exactly status quo in the artificially enthused society.

In addition to confirming We Happy Few and The LEGO Movie Videogame’s addition to Xbox Game Pass today, Microsoft also officially announced that Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and Saints Row: The Third would be coming to the service on January 24th.
