WaterField unveils new Syde Case for Surface Book along with a Surface Accessories Pouch

San Francisco-based WaterField Designs has announced two new products for the Surface Book – the Syde Case and the Surface Accessories Pouch.

Founded in 1998, WaterField Designs is an innovative designer and manufacturer of bags and cases for digital gear for tech-savvy consumers, and ships worldwide from its online store.

The Syde Case combines a custom-fitted, neoprene-lined, laptop sleeve with an attached spacious accessories compartment. Instead of a zipper, a unique magnetic closure runs side-to-side across the top of the sleeve allowing for easy access.

The front compartment is lined with soft, scratch-free material and houses organizational pockets to securely hold the Surface Pen and a smartphone, along with additional space for the other accessories like the power adapter and your wallet and keys, maybe. The case sports leather handles and a removable, matching color 1-inch shoulder strap allowing users to carry it both as a briefcase or messenger-style.

While intended for a Surface Book i5/i7, you can of course use it for a similarly sized laptop. I use one of their Surface Pro 4 cases for my Dell laptop and Surface 3.

The lightweight and slim Syde Case is available in black ballistic nylon or tan-waxed canvas with full-grain leather pouch. Priced at $159 (includes the shoulder strap), the Syde Case ships late November, although you can place your orders right away.

The padded Surface Accessories Pouch sports custom pockets to protect and organize the Surface Dial, power block, extra cables, and more as well as an easy-to-access loop to secure the Surface Pen in a plush interior, with self-locking zippers. The exterior is water-resistant, and comes in waxed canvas or black ballistic nylon full-grain leather.

The Surface Accessories Pouch is priced at $59, and you can order now to have it shipped no later than November 25th.
