Watch TBS and Watch TNT now available to download on Windows 8.1

Exactly a week ago today, we saw the release of the Watch TNT and Watch TBS apps for Windows Phone, giving you access to some of your favorite TV shows right in the palm of your hands. Today, Windows 8 users will also get to enjoy the same content on their Windows-powered desktops, tablets, and everything in between.

If you found yourself squinting at your tiny smartphone display watching Falling Skies or American Dad, you can now switch to the bigger screens of your Surface or desktop PC, thanks to the official Watch TNT and Watch TBS apps from the Windows Store. They’re both Universal Apps from the Turner Broadcasting System, so you get to enjoy a seamless experience between the Windows and Windows Phone versions of the apps. That seamless experience comes from the similar UI and the synchronicity shared across platforms.

You will need to sign into the apps with your cable or satellite provider to gain access to full episodes but once you’ve done so, you’ll get to enjoy the added benefits of saving and sharing clips, along with the ability to access collections of movies, behind-the-scenes footage, and other exclusives.

Both apps were designed from the ground up for Windows 8.1, so you can expect a gorgeous Modern UI experience that scales accordingly, depending on the size of your display and its resolution. The ability to use Windows 8’s Snap View when multi-tasking, and other features like Live Tiles, Hubs and semantic zoom for easy navigation are included.
