Arrival, the critically-acclaimed sci-fi movie which was released in the US back in November is now available to purchase on the Windows Store. The film features A-listers Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker and Jeremy Renner and tells the story of an elite team investigating a dozen alien spacecraft who landed to Earth. Here is the more detailed synopsis:

When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – led by expert translator Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – races against time to decipher their intent. As tensions mount between fearful governments, Banks discovers the aliens’ true purpose and, to avert global war, takes a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.

Arrival will cost you $12.99 for the SD version or $14.99 for the HD version, and both versions also include a short bonus where composer Jóhann Jóhannsson reveals how he created its unusual sound and why he was so inspired by the storyline.
