Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that it will be holding its annual Microsoft Store App Awards later this year and invited users to nominate their favorite apps to feature in the ceremony between March 15 and March 29.

We’re now well past that period and the company has announced that it has since selected nominees that met the set standard in terms of user experience, design, quality, and most of all, customer value.

Microsoft has also indicated that voting is now open to all Microsoft Store on Windows customers on Windows 10 and 11  across the globe but for a limited period.

The voting will be open to users from May 1 to May 5, 2023, 8:00pm Pacific time. Microsoft split the nominees that met its criteria into five different categories, that is, Utilities & Tools, Productivity, Audio & Video, Creativity, and Personalization.

Every user is limited to one vote, any additional votes or bot votes cast will be disqualified. Microsoft further added that “We may remove an app if we detect unfair or unusual voting patterns.”

We invite you to visit Microsoft’s Forms to check out if your favorite app is part of the nominees selected. You’ll also get the chance to cast your vote before the process is closed.

What’s your favorite app in the Microsoft Store? Let us know in the comments.
