VLC Beta for Windows Phone gets yet another update, fixes crashes and opens files faster

VLC for Windows Phone

VLC for Windows Phone, which is currently in Beta, has received yet another update, after rolling out an update the day prior. In the latest update, VideoLAN addresses numerous issues including various app crashes as well as adding improvements to the way the app opens files.

Keep in mind that this app is still in Beta, which means you will see bugs and crashes. It is up to the community to test the app, provide feedback, and help improve the app. So far, we have noticed constant updates to the VLC app, so a great big thanks should go out to VideoLAN and Thomas Nigro for keeping on it. Perhaps VLC for Windows Phone will be updated as frequently as Tweetium, which tops our records for the Windows Phone app that has been updated the most (and that’s never a bad thing). What’s your excuse, Instagram?

There is no change log in the Windows Phone Store at the time of this post, so take a look below at some of the Tweets sent out by Thomas Nigro, the developer behind VLC for Windows Phone. You can snag the updated app via the download link below.

VLC for WP 1.0.4 sent to the Windows Store. Again, the update brings bugfixes and new features.
