A visual tour of Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview (hands-on video)

On April 14th, developers were treated to the release of Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview. The highly anticipated update to Windows Phone 8 brought forth a notification center called Action Center, a Siri-like digital assistant called Cortana, the ability to add a Start Screen background, and much more.

If you are looking for a hands-on video tour of the operating system update, Scott Hanselman has uploaded a video and walks you through the Developer Preview running on a Nokia Lumia 920. We’ve embedded the video below for your viewing pleasure.

The video runs for twelve minutes and Scott shows off the Start Screen improvements, Cortana, the Action Center, and much more. If you have yet to download the update or have no plan on tinkering with the Developer Preview, watch this video to get an idea of what is new! Enjoy!
