Microsoft opened up its Holiday Super Sale this morning, offering deals on Surface, Xbox, laptops, and accessories, but they also snuck in a new set of deals on Windows phones, specifically the Lumia 950 and 950 XL. These phones have been discounted in other markets for some time, and the Microsoft Store has run out of the whole Lumia line in the UK, but the Lumia 950 and 950 XL haven’t up until now had a direct price reduction in the US. There have been deals bundling the phones with a display dock, for example, but now you can pick up a “flagship” Windows phone for up to $200 off.
The Lumia 950, listed at $399 but now $150 off at $249, features a 5.2″ WQHD display, a 20MP rear facing Zeiss camera, 32GB internal storage that’s expandable to up to 200GB with a micro-SD card, and of course Windows 10 Mobile.
The 950 XL is offered at an even bigger savings, listed at $200 off the regular $499 price at $299. That’s cheaper than the cheapest Lumia 950 XL currently listed on Amazon at $319.
The 5.7″ WQHD device is a bigger version of the 950, comes unlocked in black or white, and is approaching “great deal” territory at only $299 for a Windows phone that packs quite a punch.
If you want something a bit newer, complete with a desk dock for Continuum, you can pick up the HP Elite x3 for $150 off at $649. This 64GB 5.96″ phone with a 16MP full HD camera is also quite a deal.
So if you’ve been waiting for the prices to come down on the Lumia 950 line, or splurge on an HP Elite x3, now’s your chance to pick up the top of the line in a Windows phone at some great savings.
Microsoft is promising that Holiday Super Sale purchases ordered by Tuesday December 20th will still arrive in time for Christmas, and even include free shipping, so if you’re looking for a last minute gift idea, you still have time to act.
