With the Windows phone hardware well seemingly running dry with news as of late, most news outlets have focused their attention on the upcoming HP Elite X3, and deservedly so. While several international manufacturers have been dipping and re-dipping their toes into the Windows 10 Mobile waters with some recent stylish and practical hardware offerings, the HP Elite X3 has been the only phone to seemingly push the boundaries of smartphones carrying Microsoft’s latest mobile OS.

With that being said, a HP spokesperson confirmed with Windows Central about the state of online orders for the long-awaited semi-surface-like phone. According to Windows Central’s report, HP “anticipates” that the online sales of the HP Elite X3 will begin on September 5, 2016, at least in the US.

Interestingly enough, HP can only anticipate September 5, 2016, as the date for online orders from its US online store, but in the meantime, the company has been racking up pre-orders for the HP Elite X3 in Australia for a little over a week now.

Perhaps, HP is using Australia as a metric barometer for how it plans to handle its HP Elite X3 online orders when it eventually enters the proposed 47 countries it announced back in July 2016.
