The top free, paid, and trending Windows Phone apps and games as of July 20th

The Windows Phone Store is home to thousands of Windows Phone apps, with new apps coming in on a weekly basis. Let’s take a look at the Windows Phone Store and see which apps are at the top of the charts when it comes to the free, paid, and trending categories. We’ll also highlight some of these apps that have made it to the top of the charts.

As of July 20th, the top-five free apps in the Windows Phone Store (United States) are Pandora, Nokia Creative Studio, Facebook, HERE Maps, and MixRadio. The top-five paid apps are TVShow Plus, WPCentral, myTube, Metrotube, and Jack of Tools Pro. The top-five trending apps are Video Tuner, Climatology, Ringtones+ HD, Hamrah Card, and App Locker Pro.

The top-five free games are Subway Surfers, Angry Birds Epic, 100 Balls, Piano Tiles, and Traffic Racer. The top-five paid games are Cut The Rope Exp, Angry Birds, Plants vs Zombies, Sonic CD, and Fruit Ninja. The top-five trending games are Extreme Forklifting, Guess Emoji, Guess the Emojicon, Tiki Monkeys, and AE Zombie War Zone 2.

These stats are based on data from the Windows Phone Store in the United States. Let’s take a look at some of these top apps and games below, perhaps you might just discover your new favorite app!

  • TVShow Plus ($3.99) – Watch your favorite tv series like True Blood and Breaking Bad right from your phone. Supports video streaming and downloads.
  • myTube ($0.99) – myTube is a YouTube app built to keep your video playing no matter what. By lightly fading the video into the background, you can continue to watch while you read comments, browse channels and videos, and everything else you can do in the app.
  • Jack of Tools Pro ($1.99) – Jack of Tools Pro includes an LED flashlight, compass, geographic camera, virtual level, your Earthly coordinates, your altitude, your speed and heading (including average and maximum speed markers), base distance, a caliper, a magnifier, and a sound meter.
  • Hamrah Card (free) – If you’re a customer for Ayandeh Bank, you can execute your banking inquiries and transactions through this program.
  • 100 Balls (free) – This is a simple but addicting app. Test your reaction in single tap game with realistic physics engine.
  • Tiki Monkeys (free) – Chase down the thieving monkeys who helped themselves to the pirate’s treasure in this hectic action-strategy game. Pick your favorite pirate, set off into the jungle and find those meddling monkeys while avoiding obstacles.
  • AE Zombie War Zone 2 (free) – This game continues the game’s crazy shooting style and takes the exciting shooting experience and visuals to the next level. Use simple touch-screen operations to aim and shoot zombies that are attacking in waves.
