The top free, paid, and trending Windows Phone apps and games as of July 13th

Microsoft’s Windows Phone Store is home to thousands of Windows Phone apps, with new apps coming in on a weekly basis. Let’s take a look at the Windows Phone Store and see which apps are at the top of the charts when it comes to the free, paid, and trending categories. We’ll also highlight some of these apps that have made it to the top of the charts.

As of July 13th, the top five free apps in the Windows Phone Store are Pandora, Facebook, Instagram Beta, Adobe Photoshop, and Messenger. The top five paid apps are WPCentral, Movie Maker 8.1, myTube, Jack of Tools Pro, and Hot Tiles. The top five trending apps are POF Free Online Dating, Files & Folders Pro, App Locker Pro, AppZapp US, and Cocacan.

The top five free games are Angry Birds Epic, 100 Balls, Piano Tiles Don’t Tap The White Tile, Traffic Racer, and Rival Knights. The top five paid games are Cut the Rope Exp, Angry Birds, Sonic CD, Plants vs Zombies, and Fruit Ninja.

These stats are based on data from the Windows Phone Store in the United States. Let’s take a look at some of these top apps and games below, perhaps you might just discover your new favorite app!

  • Extreme Forklifting (free) – Probably the best forklift game ever made for mobile! Experience the thrill and excitement of driving a forklift. Move pallets and collect points in this physics driven 3D forklift game. Do it quickly and without damaging the pallet to get bonus points.
  • Guess the Emojicon (free) – Are you ready for a guessing game like none other? Guess The Emojicon will entertain you for hours! You will be presented with a screen displaying some emojis. What is it that these emoticons are describing?
  • Traffic Racer (free) – Drive your car through highway traffic, earn cash, upgrade your car and buy new ones. Try to be one of the fastest drivers in the global leaderboards.
  • POF Free Online Dating (free) – This is a great app that compliments the dating service website. With over 80 million singles, the POF free online dating app is the world’s largest dating app! Create your free profile and let the dating app match you so you can chat, flirt, and exchange messages with local single matches for free.
  • Files & Folders Pro (free) – A fully functional file manager for Windows Phone 8.1. This app supports a plethora of file formats and even features OneDrive and Dropbox support. Currently it lacks support for Google Drive.
  • Cocacan (free) – A simple app that is used to create a Coca Can image with your text on it. Nothing more, nothing less.
  • AppZapp US (free) – This app helps in recommending popular apps and games. It will display apps for you to check out on a daily basis and you can also find the apps which are free just for limited time in AppZapp.
