The top-five free and paid apps in the Windows Phone Store as of November 24th

Instagram, Facebook, Kik Messenger, Vine, and 6snap. These are the top-five free apps currently in the Windows Phone Store. In the top-paid category, we see GPS Voice Navigation, Apict, Readit, MoliPlayer Pro, and Morfo.

Instagram, which rolled out a Beta version of their Windows Phone 8 app, is currently the top free app in the Windows Phone Store. This highly anticipated app has bumped Facebook down to second place. Microsoft has been rolling out updates for the Facebook app like crazy – this includes updates to the Beta version of the app. Vine and 6snap continue to round out the top-five free apps.

GPS Voice Navigation, which is currently the top paid app right now, provides turn-by-turn voice driving navigation with a choice of three map and routing providers (Google, Bing, or MapQuest). Apict, which is in second place, allows you to take a picture using your smartphone camera and quickly add an “instant camera” look to your picture. You can then upload that picture to Instagram or share via email or MMS.

Readit, an app that was recently updated to version 1.2 with numerous new features (literally), is in third place in the top-paid category.

MoliPlayer Pro is a paid app that lets you watch full 1080p MKV video files on your phone with no overheating issues. The app features great organization of video and music files when browsing your internal storage or SD card, as you can see from the picture above.

The Morfo app allows you to quickly turn a photo of your friend’s face into a talking, dancing, crazy 3D character and then speak in a silly voice, disco dance, wear makeup, sport a pair of huge green cat eyes, suddenly gain 300lbs, and more.

Here are the top-five free apps in the United States based on popularity:

  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • Kik Messenger
  • Vine
  • 6snap

Here are the top-five paid apps currently in the Windows Phone Store:

  • GPS Voice Navigation
  • Apict
  • Readit
  • MoliPlayer Pro
  • Morpho
