Titanfall to remain an Xbox and PC exclusive -- to developer's surprise

Microsoft caused quite a stir when Titanfall was revealed at E3 and now it has been revealed that the game will remain exclusive to Xbox and PC for “the life of the title”. This is great news for Microsoft and something of a surprise for the developer, Respawn Games.

Company co-founder Vince Zampella took to Twitter to express shock after EA’s Blake Jorgensen announced the exclusivity at a financial call on Tuesday:

“Always MS exclusive at launch, great partner and focus is good for a startup. EA made a deal for the rest, we only found out recently =(“

Titanfall is the latest title to join the list that will remain exclusive to Xbox One — including familiar names such as Fable and Forza — but Zampella stressed that Respawn Games will also produce games for PS4.

The game is due for a March 11 release.
