Tim Hortons gets an official Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone app, lets you pay with your phone

Tim Hortons is a Canadian restaurant known for their doughnuts and coffee and now the official app has made its way to both Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 8.1. One of the key features of the app is the ability to pay for your coffee or doughnut via your smartphone thanks to the official TimmyMe app.

“Tim Hortons official app makes it easy to pay with your smartphone! Grabbing lunch at Tims? There’s no need to reach for your wallet. With our new mobile payment feature, just register your Tim Card® and enjoy a secure, convenient way to pay. It’s as easy as one, two, scan!” the app description reads.

With the app, you can set your registered Tim Card to auto reload right from your mobile device. You can also check the balance of your Tim Card and manage it with ease. The app also allows you to find the closest location near you via the Restaurant Finder. The app will even give you driving directions to the nearest restaurant.

The app even gives you nutritional information for any Tim Hortons menu item! How convenient is that? The apps are free and you can download them for your respective platforms via the download links below.

Thanks for the tip, Steveo!
