Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update

Windows Phone fans can finally rejoice, as after the initial announcement of the launch of the Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update just a week ago, it’s finally rolling out to a wider range of supported devices (via Neowin.)

Again, supported devices (see the full list here) for the Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update include newer phones such as the HP Elite x3, Lumia 950 and 950 XL, Alcatel IDOL 4S. Those with unlocked versions of these phones should now be seeing the Creators Update in Phone Update under settings, as is the case with our Alcatel IDOL 4S. Those with carrier locked devices, meanwhile, could possibly have to wait a few more weeks if the update has not already shown up, and for approval on the carrier side of things.

When it comes to new features, the Windows 10 Creators Update does not introduce many major changes to the Windows Phone side of things. The update is mainly focused on increasing stability and usability, and support for eBooks in Microsoft Edge. And, those who aren’t lucky enough to have a supported Windows Phone device can still receive the Creators Update by joining the Windows Insider program and setting their device to the Release Preview Ring.
