It’s been over a month since the Surface Laptop launched across 25 markets. However, even as excited as many Surface fans were, some were disappointed to find out that the four appealing metallic colors that Microsoft advertised were reserved only for the Core i5 model. Now, it appears that the option might be available to the i7 model soon according to a spotting from Windows Central.
On the official Microsoft Surface Laptop product page, the Cobalt Blue, Graphite Gold, and Burgundy options were marked as ‘Coming Soon’. These three specialized colors join the default Platinum color for the Core i7 model. However, the discovery hasn’t been met with an official announcement or other estimated date concerning the placeholders.
The Core i7 Surface Laptop is, no doubt, superior to the i5 with a matching price of $2,199 in comparison to the $999 for i5. Despite this, it seems the i7 is at least selling enough to crop up some fan service for the laptop. Or maybe Microsoft is hoping to boost sales with the extra color options.
