TextNow is a popular service that gives you your very own dedicated phone number with which you can text and call your friends, family, significant others, neighbors, or anyone for free. The popular service has rolled out a major update to their Windows Phone app, now allowing you to make calls, send voicemails, and much more.

“TextNow gives you your very own dedicated phone number with which you can text and call your friends, family, significant others, neighbors, or anyone else you would like! This number can be used anywhere within USA and Canada! You can also send and receive picture messages or create texting groups! The latest update bumps the app version number to 2.0 and adds the following new features:

  • Make/Receive Phone Calls – Use your TextNow phone number to make and receive voice calls for free!
  • Voicemail – Give your callers the opportunity to leave you a voice message if you happen to miss a call! Messaging Improvements
  • View your call log with a contact within a conversation window.
