Telerik

Telerik, a company that aims to make software development easier and more enjoyable, is launching a contest to help a Windows 8 app developer create the next smashing Windows 8 app. For all you app developers out there, this is something to check out!

“Telerik is looking for the next smashing Windows 8 app prototype. We believe that every bright idea needs some help and we’ve just launched Telerik Accelerator for Windows 8!” Telerik stated in an email statement to us. The idea is simple. You throw your name into the hat and the winning startup will receive a $30,000 USD investment in exchange for minority equity in the company, mentorship which includes a one week bootcamp in Hong Kong and three months of virtual mentorship afterwards, and access to free perks and discounts. Telerik simply wants to help an inspired team bring their idea to successful implementation.

Enter the contest by March 15th and five teams will be shortlisted and announced by the company on April 1st. The four judges, including the man who is one of the guys responsible for creating the Microsoft Channel9 video community, will then schedule online interviews with the shortlisted teams between April 1st and April 10th. Telerik will then announce the winning team on April 15th. All you need to enter is a simple wireframe or a mockup of your idea. Hit the source link to learn more about the contest’s requirements. Windows 8 app developers, what are you waiting for? Enter the contest now!
