Telegram Messenger picks up an update with a new bot API, perfect forward secrecy support and more

Telegram Messenger Beta is a popular instant messaging client for Windows Phone, allowing users to get in touch with their friends and family, ability to create a group of over 200 people (if that really matters to you), Secret Chats where the messages are encrypted and you can set it to auto-delete, as well several other features.

The app picked up an update, bumping it to version 1.12, introducing a number of new features and privacy enhancements including the ability to send any type of files in the Secret Chat, as well as a new bot API for people who want to create bots for games, and other integrations. 

Here’s the complete change log as per Windows Phone Store:

  • Dedicated tabs for each one of your custom sticker sets in the sticker panel. Add custom stickers like https://telegram.me/addstickers/Animals 
  • New bot API, free for everyone. If you’re an engineer, create your own bots for games, services or integrations. Learn more at https://telegram.org/blog/bot-revolution 
  • Perfect Forward Secrecy support in Secret Chats
  • Send files of any type in Secret Chats

Head over to the Windows Phone store if you happen to be a regular user of Telegram Messenger.
