T-Mobile Lumia 435 gets Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2

Lumia 435 is possibly one of the cheapest Windows Phone handsets available at the moment. The handset went on sale on T-Mobile last month for $70, and if you happen to be an owner of the device, you should hit the software update button on your device. A report from NPU suggests that Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 is rolling out for the handset tied to T-Mobile. The new update bumps the software version to 8.10.15148.160, and features a number of enhancements for the device.

The latest update give users the ability to change the phone name from Settings > About, as well as brings support for MKV videos. Here’s the complete change log for the update:

  • Manage phone settings more easily through the categorized and searchable settings menu.
  • Bluetooth keyboard support added (Bluetooth HID 1.1 profile)
  • Support for MKV video playback
  • Change the phone name in Settings > About.

Go to Settings on your Lumia 435 and see if there’s an update waiting. Let us know if you’ve received the update using the comments below.
