After Microsoft officially began rolling out Windows 11, many people were unable to make the upgrade because their devices didn’t meet the system requirements. Despite these strict set of hardware requirements, users have still identified loopholes that allow them to upgrade to the OS. However, users might not receive security updates.

Early last year, Microsoft announced that it will be issuing warnings to users highlighting the potential risks that one stands to encounter by running Windows 11 on an unsupported device. Microsoft is reportedly taking things a notch higher according to a report by Deskmodder and has now begun sending out a “System requirements not met” watermark to users running on the Windows 11 2022 Update, or 22H2.

The report indicates that the “System requirements not met watermark” has begun rolling out to users running on build 22621. This means that Microsoft has started issuing these warnings to users running on the Windows 11 2022 Update. There’s also a probability that Beta Channel Insiders might also be affected.

Microsoft started showing the “System requirements not met” watermark in the Dev Channel, it was placed at the bottom right of the screen close to the notification area of your Windows PC featuring the Windows version as well as the build number.
