After the recent $150 price drop of the Surface RT, Microsoft reported a $900 million dollar loss for its Surface devices during its quarterly earnings report recently. Now, according to a new report, Microsoft has dropped the price of the Surface Pro by $100.
In the United States, the Surface Pro has seen a $100 dollar price drop. The 64GB Surface Pro model is now $799 while the 128GB model is now $899. These new prices are also effective in Canada, China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Every other country has yet to see this price drop.
“Price discount valid 8/4/30 until 8/30/2013, or while supplies last. Available in select Microsoft retail and online stores in US (including Puerto Rico) and Canada. Not valid on prior orders or purchases; cannot be transferred or otherwise redeemed for cash or gift cards. Not combinable with other offers,” Microsoft stated on the online Microsoft Store.
Microsoft recently slashed prices of its Surface RT tablet by nearly $150 dollars, after reporting a $900 million dollar loss for its Surface devices during its quarterly earnings report recently. According to new data, Windows 8 and Windows RT based tablets account for 4.5% of the global tablet market as of Q2 2013.
