If you’re the proud owner of a Surface Pro 4 or Surface Book you might want to head over to Windows Update and check for updates now. Microsoft has just released a series of driver updates for the Surface Pro 4, and Surface Book (Via Windows Central.)

Overall, the updates include a Microsoft driver update for Surface UEFI, Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration, and Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration Service Device. For the complete details on what these updates fix or improve, please see the changelogs, which are the same for both devices, below.

Surface Pro 4: Surface Book:

  • Surface UEFI: v106.1281.768.0 improves stability and performance when you change between power states.
  • Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration: v1.0.103.0 improves the device usability and battery life.
  • Microsoft driver update for Surface Integration Service Device: v1.0.146.0 makes sure the default Balanced power plan is set correctly when the operating system is updated.
  • Microsoft driver update for Surface Management Engine: v11.0.15.1003 improves stability and performance when you change between power states.

As is usual, a successful installation of these updates might subject your Surface Book or Surface Pro 4 to multiple restarts. Nonetheless, we would love to hear if you’ve noticed anything new or any improvements that were not mentioned in the changelog above. Happy downloading, and be sure to come back to WinBeta to let us know what you think of these updates by dropping us a comment in the section below.
