Surface Pro 3 and Surface Pro 4 officially launch in India

As promised, Microsoft India has officially introduced the long-awaited Surface Pro 4 and Surface Pro 3 in India (via Times of India). The latest Surface Pro 4 starts at INR 89,990 ($1,330 US) with the most expensive model costing INR 144,990 ($2,166), while the good old Surface Pro 3 pricing starts at INR 73,990 ($1,106). For the first six months, the devices will be exclusively sold by Amazon India in the country. Customers interested in it can book their devices starting today and the deliveries will commence by January 14th.

The Surface Pro 4 comes with a 12.3-inch display with a 2736 x 1824 and a number of configurations to choose from when it comes to processors, ranging from the 6th generation Core m3 to Core i7. Other notable specifications includes up to 16GB of RAM, up to 512GB of internal storage and ships with Windows 10 as its operating system.

As for the Surface Pro 3, it comes with a 12-inch display, a choice of Core i3 and i5 processors, up to 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of HDD with Windows 10 running as the operating system.

The company is also bundling the Surface Stylus pen with all models of the tablets, except the base Surface Pro 3 model. The keyboard cover is available separately for Rs 12,490 ($187) which transforms the tablet into a full-fledged laptop.

For those of who want to give it a test run can try it out at five Microsoft stores across Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
