On Thursday, August 28th, Microsoft launched the Surface Pro 3 in various new locations across the globe — one of which was the United Kingdom. Now, it appears that every store location in the UK is sold out of the new Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft’s ‘tablet that can replace your laptop’ is apparently struggling to keep up with demand in the UK. Various outlets, such as Currys and Argos are pretty much sold out of every configuration of the Surface Pro 3 available. Currys was recently offering a £100 discount offer on laptops, which made the Surface Pro 3 that much sweeter to purchase.
John Lewis’s Oxford Street Store has the Surface Pro 3 in stock, but only a limited number of the £849 i5 Surface Pro 3s were available. Here is what Microsoft had to say:
“People’s response to Surface pro 3 has been positive. Our primary goal is and will remain to get Surface into the hands of all productive people who want a tablet that matches their unique productivity needs. For those eager to buy, we recommend they go to JLP, Dixons and Argos.”
Could it be because of low initial stock or could it be because of strong demand? Who knows. Hopefully stock is replenished and those who are eagerly waiting to purchase their Surface Pro 3 can finally do so. You can read our review of the Surface Pro 3 here.
