Surface Pro 3 sports one of the very best and most accurate displays, finds a display analyst firm

The Surface Pro 3 has been well received by critics and consumers. The device looks nothing short of a work of art. The display is crisp, clear, and accurate. In fact, an independent display analyst firm DisplayMate has found Surface Pro 3’s display to be “one of the very best and most accurate displays available on any mobile platform and OS.”

Compared to other 12-inch tablets, the Surface Pro 3 has higher ambient contrast, and lower diffuse and specular reflection — in short, this is what makes the device’s screen stand out against the rest. “To accomplish their goal, the team reduced ambient reflected light by engineering a screen with 10% less reflection – both diffuse and specular (mirror-like) – than competitive 10” and 12” touch-screen tablets,” explains Rajesh Dighde, a member of the Surface Screen Team.

The Surface Pro 3 possesses “an excellent top tier display for professionals that need a very accurate and high performance display for their work, and for consumers that want and appreciate a really nice and beautiful display,” concludes DisplayMate.

If you are interested in knowing the whole dynamics behind the Surface Pro 3’s display, we recommend you read Rajesh Dighde succinct piece on the official Surface Blog.
