At an event in Berlin, Microsoft Surface chief Panos Panay spoke a bit more about Surface Duo and Surface Neo and revealed some extra details about the upcoming foldable devices. As noted by WinFuture (via Windows Central), the Surface chief said that both Neo and Duo will feature a “good camera,” but no support for 5G support at launch.

Although 5G networks are yet to become mainstream and popular here in the United States, WinFuture reports that Microsoft is apparently “preparing” to equip the Surface Do and Neo for the technology. However, the report also mentioned that Panay believes this could take some time, due to the “ambitious roadmap for the introduction of 5G-enabled devices.” Panay stopped short of officially commenting on specifics of the matter, and instead mentioned that the devices would support LTE-advanced, hinting that 5G support could likely come in the future.

As for the cameras, which have been a much talked about topic, Panay simply said both devices would feature “a good camera.” in the first generation. It’s not exactly clear what “a good camera” means, however, or if that refers to a rear-facing camera or a front-facing camera.
