Microsoft is now rolling out the January Update for the Surface Duo. For those sporting the device, the latest firmware version should improve touch stability and bring some audio improvements, too (via Windows Central.)

Weighing in at roughly 570MB, the update will bump up the latest Surface Duo software version up to 202.1211.85. You can see the full changelog below.

  • Addresses scenarios outlined in the Android Security Bulletin – December 2020 and January 2021.
  • Improves Surface Duo UI stability.
  • Adds the ability to add a caller to conference calls in certain conditions.
  • Improves audio quality when using speaker mode.
  • Improves touch stability.

Do note that this is the first update for the Surface Duo since November. There wasn’t one last month, according to the Surface Duo update history page. Today’s update is for unlocked Surface Duo devices only. The AT&T version of this update is likely to follow in a few weeks.
