Surface Duo 2 gets the March 2022 firmware update

The Surface Duo’s 2 latest firmware update is now out. This is a small release when compared to previous versions, as it’s mainly focused on security fixes, adding no new features.

Weighing in at about 200MB, this update addresses the security issues outlined in Android’s Security Bulletin for March 2022. Unlike February’s update, Microsoft is not reporting any stability, reliability, or performance improvements with this release. The update is also exclusive to the Surface Duo 2, as the original Surface Duo got its own March Update back on March 1, adding the “Apps” support to Your Phone on Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as pen shortcuts with the Slim Pen 2.

As always, you can grab this firmware update by going to your system settings. Usually, updates should not take longer than 5 minutes. So, get downloading now to ensure your device is well-protected against all the latest security threats!
