If you have a Surface Duo 2, it’s time to check for updates. The December update is now available for the device, an important one at that because it features a fix for the bug affecting calls that started to occur after the Android 12L Update started rolling out.

According to Microsoft this update:

  • Addresses scenarios outlined in the Android Security Bulletin – December 2022.
  • Fixes scenario following upgrade to Android 12L when incoming calls would go directly to voicemail and outgoing calls would end immediately.

The original Surface Duo also received its December firmware update which was fairly minor because it mainly focused on security fixes, adding no new features.

As usual, you can get this firmware update by going to your system settings. Most times, these updates should not take longer than 5 minutes. Therefore, get downloading now to ensure your device is covered against these threats and more.
