Surface devices now ship with Windows 10, some Surface Pro 3s are 50 off

Microsoft is now shipping both the Surface 3 and Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10 preinstalled. Also, users interested the Surface Pro 3 can purchase it with a discount of $150 retail price through Microsoft (via Neowin). The sale for the Surface Pro 3 is only for certain models and according to Neowin, ends today.

By shipping Windows 10 with the Surface and Surface Pro 3, Microsoft is combining their premium hardware with their newest operating system. Though there are rumors swirling about a Surface Pro 4, the Surface Pro 3 is currently the highest end device Microsoft. The Surface 3 is much newer, going on sale just a few months ago. The launch of Windows 10 is a good opportunity for Microsoft to push these devices.

Here’s the complete list of sale prices for the Surface Pro 3

  • Intel Core i5 with 256GBB- $1149
  • Intel Core i7 with 256GB- $1399
  • Intel Core i7 with 512GB- $1799

The Surface Pro 3 is a premier device from Microsoft that is heavily marketed as a tablet that can replace your laptop and, when combined with a Surface Docking Station, you desktop. While $150 may not seem like a large discount compared to the overall sale price, it is more than the cost of a Surface Type Cover which is practically a necessity for the device.
