In recognition of IT excellence

Chessington, UK, 1 December 2010: IT and business service management company Sunrise Software has been awarded two Finalist titles in the BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards 2010. The company was recognised for its performance in the ‘Small IT Supplier of the Year’ category, for which it had to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, excellence and innovation to the judging panel. Sunrise’s product development director Nilesh Dabholkar also secured a Finalist position in the ‘Developer of the Year’ category, for his achievements in technical innovation, particularly with regard to Sunrise’s flagship software Sostenuto.

Sunrise Executive Chairman Tom Weston said: “BCS is a prestigious organisation, well respected by anyone involved in IT, and I am delighted that Sunrise has been recognised through the IT Industry Awards. It is truly a tribute to the people at Sunrise to be shortlisted for this sought-after award.”

BCS’s Head of Corporate Events Anna Duckworth commented: “The number of high quality entries, coupled with the rigour and integrity of the judging process, singles out these Awards as the industry leader. For anybody who has reached the final stages it is recognition of all that is good in the IT industry.”

BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, promotes wider social and economic progress through the advancement of information technology science and practice. The organisation serves over 70,000 members including practitioners, businesses, academics and students, in the UK and internationally.
