Stream Super Bowl XLIX on your Windows Phone device with this free app from NBC

Ideally, you want to be with friends and family members in front of a large screen TV with a bowl of salsa and chips in one hand and an ice cold beer in the other hand while watching the Super Bowl. However, some of us are not as lucky and are stuck commuting, working, or whatever else we have to do on this big day.

If you own a Windows Phone device, you can stream the Super Bowl for free with the official NBC Sports Live Extra app. Just download it, install it, open it, hit the hamburger button on the top-left, tap schedule, and tap on the Super Bowl. You will be able to stream the event live right on your phone for free.

“Watch thousands of live sporting events that air on NBC, NBCSN and Golf Channel LIVE for FREE with NBC Sports Live Extra. Download now on your Windows Phone 8 device, and stream NHL Regular-Season and Stanley Cup Playoff games, PGA TOUR, U.S. Open (golf), Notre Dame Football, French Open (tennis), Premier League (soccer), Major League Soccer, Formula One, IndyCar and Triple Crown horse racing.”

Normally, you would be required to sign into your cable provider via the app, but the live stream of the Super Bowl is free for today only. Enjoy!
