Star Wars fans rejoice, the sequel to the popular shooter game Star Wars Battlefront will be released in Fall 2017, according to new hints from EA CFO Blake Jorgensen during the company’s earning calls yesterday (via Gamespot). The game is expected to be released “a year from now” according to the exec, who added that “we’re working very hard on making sure that is an extremely deep and engaging offering.”
While the previous game was considered as a reboot and only focused on the original Star Wars trilogy, the sequel is expect to make use of the content from the “new movies” according to what Jorgensen said during a previous earning call. With over 14 million units sold in fiscal year 2016, Star Wars Battlefront set a very high bar for EA and we can’t wait to learn more about his new episode which will be developed by EA DICE and Motive Studios.
