On Wednesday, October 4, EA Games will finally open the gates for the much-anticipated Star Wars Battlefront II beta on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Windows. You’ll have to pre-order the game to get early access to the beta on October 4, but everyone else will be able to join the fun on Friday, October 6 through October 9.
The beta will include four different game modes featuring all three cinematic eras of Star Wars:
- The 20 vs. 20 multi-stage Galactic Assault mode on Naboo,
- The Starfighter Assault mode on Fondor, featuring three new starfighter classes and Hero Ships from the three different trilogies.
- The class-based Strike mode in the new Takodana map
- The Arcade mode on Naboo, where one or two players can fight off AI opponents (this mode supports split-screen multiplayer on Xbox One).
EA is also warning players that the Star Wars Battlefront II Beta is “among the biggest ever distributed by EA,” so make sure to download and install the beta at the right time so you won’t have to wait to enjoy it. The action shooter game will be released worldwide on November 17, and unlike its predecessor it will also feature a single player campaign that will hopefully a good complement to the various online multiplayer modes.
