Windows Phone 8.1

Yesterday, Microsoft unveiled the highly anticipated Windows Phone 8.1 operating system at Build 2014 in San Francisco. Nokia already announced that the latest update, dubbed as Lumia Cyan, will reach all Lumia devices in the coming months, but it seems more OEMs are also working on the latest update. It seems HTC 8XT and Samsung Ativ S Neo will get the taste of the latest Windows Phone 8.1 update by summer.

Sprint confirmed to WPCentral about the launch of the latest update for the above-mentioned handsets. If you missed the announcement yesterday and don’t know what it brings, we’ll do a quick recap for you. Windows Phone 8.1 brings several new features on board, including the highly rumored action center that brings all your notifications in one place, Microsoft’s voice assistant Cortana, Start Screen personalization, improved keyboard, Internet Explorer 11, interactive lock screen and much more.

The exact launch date of the roll out is not confirmed, but we’ll keep an eye on it and will update you as soon as it commences. Are you ready for Windows Phone 8.1?
