It’s been a few days since we learned that the rumored HP Falcon Windows 10 Mobile device would hit the market as the HP Elite x3, but now we’re seeing the first leaked pictures of the upcoming handset as well as its full expected specs on Hungarian site Tech2.
According to previous information from Evan Blass, the HP Falcon was expected to feature a 5.8″ 2560 x 1440 display with a Snapdragon 820, a 20 MP rear camera and a 12 MP front-facing camera. But Tech2 is now giving us the more detailed specs you’ll find below:
- 5.96-inch QuadHD display
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core SoC
- 4 GB of RAM
- 16 MP rear camera and 8-MP front camera
- 32GB storage, microSD expansion up to 200 GB
- Iris Scanner and Fingerprint reader for Windows Hello
- USB 3.0 Type-C and Qi wireless charging
- Continuum support
- IP67 dust and water resistance
- STD810 military MIL-rating for 1-foot drop protection
If these leaked specs are correct, the HP Elite X3 may well become the best Windows 10 Mobile device in the market as neither the 950 or 950XL use the latest Snapdragon 820 SoC from Qualcomm. It’s also interesting to see for the first time a fingerprint reader being used for Windows Hello, and we wonder if it will be more handy and reliable than iris scanners.
We still don’t know if the HP Elite X3 will be revealed next week during Mobile Word Congress, but we will let you know as soon as we get more information about this flagship device. In the meantime, you can see more pictures of the handset on the Tech2 website.
Thanks for the tip, Adam!
