Special livestream announced to celebrate the Xbox One launch of State of Decay

To celebrate the release of Undead Labs’ State of Decay Year-One Survival Edition on Xbox One on April 28, Microsoft’s Larry Hryb will be visiting the studio to host a special livestream where he’ll play some of the popular zombie survival game, interview the game developers, and even give away a code to unlock the full game on Xbox One. The stream will start on Wednesday, April 15 at 4p ET/1p PT on the Xbox Twitch Channel.

State of Decay is an open world game set during a zombie apocalypse where the player must use a combination of survival skills such as stealth, leadership, and resource management to stay alive while avoiding or fighting the undead. The game originally launched on Xbox 360 mid-2013 and was released on PC later in the same year and earned a loyal following due to its persistent game world that continued to progress even while the player was offline and its original shelter building mechanics.

The Xbox One Year-One Survival Edition version of State of Decay is a 1080p remaster of the original game with improved textures, lighting, and animation. This version will also come with the original’s Breakdown and Lifeline add-ons, in addition to extra content not available in previous versions.

Will you be picking up State of Decay Year-One Survival Edition or are you tired of remasters of existing games? Sound off in the comments below!
