Skype for Windows Phone beta now available, full version coming this April

Microsoft has just recently launched the Skype for Windows Phone beta, and is available to download now on Windows Phone 7 devices. The app allows you to make Skype calls over 3G and 4G, as well as Landline and mobile calls.

Microsoft has released Skype for Windows Phone as beta today, allowing you to test out the new features, UI and updates the app has received. Microsoft has certified a number of devices that offer the ‘best performance’ while using the app.

The phones selected are the Nokia Lumia 800 and 710, HTC TITAN, Samsing Focus S and Focus Flash and the HTC Radar.

The Skype beta introduces Metro UI to skype, allowing for quick and easy access to the contacts you need. You can make Skype to Skype calls over 3G and 4G (and WiFi) networks, make calls to mobile or landlines and even Video call!

The full version of Skype for Windows Phone is set to launch this April.
