Skype has released an update for its apps on Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows 10 Mobile. For Windows Phone 8.1. There aren’t any major changes on board so we’re guessing its mostly bug fixes and enhancements, which are equally welcomes for regular Skype users. There are however some new features within the Windows 10 Mobile version.
First up, users who are testing out the new Messaging Skype and Video preview can now make it their default app on Windows 10 Mobile. There are some additional settings introduced as well which give users the ability to sync contacts with the People app and toggle Skype call notifications.
The largest changes to Skype will arrive to the public later this year through Microsoft’s new Skype powered applications. Up until those are publicly released Microsoft will continue to update and introduce new features to the preview versions.
The update is already available, so you can head over to the Windows Store to grab the updated app.
