Skype for Mac updated, brings memory usage optimizations and more

If you happen to be a regular user of Skype on your Mac, there’s a piece of good news for you. Skype for Mac has received an update, bumping to version 7.6, but it’s not a very big update. The update optimizes the chat memory usage issue which may affect the performance of the app, and also fixed a screen sharing bug where screen-sharing is not received after pausing and resuming of a call, a known issue in 7.5.

The maximum height of the input field in the chat window has increased as well so when you paste a bigger text or content, you’ll be able to see more lines compared to previous version of the app. All you have to do is type and it will automatically expand the input field.

The company seems to be taking the feedback seriously, and fixing bugs which were haunting the users, as well as new features which will be introduced in the later versions of the app.
