This Simple Trick Will Let You Uninstall OEM Apps On Windows Phone 8 And 8.1 – onmsft.com

Windows Phone 8

If you’re tired of any OEM app taking up the precious storage space on your Windows Phone handset, there’s a nifty little trick which lets users uninstall OEM apps from a Windows Phone device. Just follow a few simple steps, and you’ll be able to uninstall any OEM-specific app, but do keep in mind that the only way to get the application back is through SysApp Pusher.

All you have to do is change the date on your Windows Phone smartphone to 2115, and change your time zone to Amsterdam. Next, simply tap on any OEM specific app, and it will show you two options: uninstall and buy. Clicking on the “buy” link will open up the Windows Phone store, while the uninstall button will remove the app from your device. After uninstalling, make sure you change the date and time back on your device.

The bug is present in the Windows Phone 8.1 Developers Preview, as well as the Windows Phone 8. We tried it on our Windows Phone 8 device, and it worked without any issues, and is said to work on Windows Phone 8.1 as well. Below is a video which shows the bug in action.
