Shazam App For Windows 8 Receives Update, Comes With UI Improvements And Bug Fixes – onmsft.com

Shazam app

For those of you who use Shazam to identify and discover music, there is an official Shazam app for Windows 8 and Windows RT. A new update was just rolled out adding some UI improvements and several bug fixes.

“Shazam is the quickest and easiest way to discover more about music, TV and ads. Hold your phone up to the music or TV to identify a track, buy it, share it, watch the video, get the lyrics and more!” the app description reads.

In this update, you can now tag without coverage and the app will match once a connection is present. The update adds numerous UI improvements, which weren’t specified, and adds improved recognition speed. The update also addresses bugs and improves performance. There is also better advertising integration. At the moment, you cannot purchase a track via Xbox Music, at least not yet.

According to a reader of ours, Richard Hay, the app also features advertisements with prompts to upgrade to the ad-free Shazam experience with Encore. Hit the download link below to snag the updated app. Let us know in the comments below if you notice any new features or improvements.
