Skype is one of the best VoIP applications available, offering users with seamless audio and video chat capabilities. It has been so useful over the past few years that people have started conducting online educational sessions to teach people from various parts of the globe. One such institution is 121 Spanish, an online educational institution helping users learn Spanish over Skype.
The teasers conduct Skype sessions with students from across the globe. Ever since its inception in 2006, the school has delivered 100,000 hours of lectures over Skype to over 1,000 students in three dozen countries and teachers from across Latin America and Spain. The main feature used by the school is the calling feature, but some of the staff members also make use of the file sharing features to distribute worksheets and other learning materials.
It’s not all smooth, and the school also came across time scheduling issues since the students are from various parts of the globe in different time zones. However, the owner, Craig Jull, managed to tackle this issue as well with the help of a student and launched a portal, TimelyBooking. The service is designed to help the school schedule classes across the globe.
