As it is one of the most anticipated video games in recent memory, the hype surrounding Starfield has been monumental. So it’s unsurprising really to see that scalpers are trying to cash in on that fanfare.
Scalping has been a bane to the video game industry for some time now—a fact that was put on display during the current-gen console launch, especially with PS5. Now, Starfield fans are feeling the pain as scalpers have been grabbing up the Starfield Collector’s Edition.
The Starfield Constellation Collector’s Edition retails for $299, and was announced during the Starfield Direct showcase in June. The physical Collector’s Edition bundle includes the following.
- Starfield Base Game
- Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)
- Up to 5 days early access*
- Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost Pack
- Access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack
- Steelbook Display Case
- Constellation Patch
- Starfield Chronomark Watch and Case
- Credit Stick with Laser-Etched Game Code
The Collector’s Edition bundle has appeared on Ebay going for as much as $700 USD, as pointed out by one Reddit user in the Starfield subreddit.
Can I complain about how annoyed I am scalpers bought out the Constellation editions everywhere and are now selling them for $400-$700?

Several Redditors have pointed out that this practice violates Ebay’s terms of service, though that has rarely stopped scalpers in the past.
