Coding4Fun has long been know as the area of Microsoft’s Channel 9 website where developers and tech-savvy folks could find hardware and software tricks and projects. Unfortunately, it is now being shut down, with no word as to why.

Microsoft instead posted a So Long and Thank You note on the blog, saying that the entire Coding4Fun Blog has been possible because of the community. Have a look at the full note below:

Thank you x 1,000…! Today is the last for the Coding4Fun Blog. We’ve had an awesome run, but times change.
This blog was all that it was because of YOU! Those whos projects and posts that were highlighted, those who left comments and our readers. It’s all of you that made this blog so awesome, you were the power behind it all. Again, and finally, thank you!

This is very sad news for those who may have frequented Coding4Fun, and it’s still not certain why. We hope more information may come to light soon, and if it does, we will pass it along.
